Jesus Christ Our Merciful King will walk the streets of Strathmore! (Sunday, June 11th)
All parishioners and their families are invited to celebrate the Feast of Corpus Christi (Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ), next Sunday, June 11th. We will be having a full morning and afternoon of activities, beginning with Sunday Mass at 10 AM, wherein a number of our young parishioners will receive their First Holy Communion. Immediately following Holy Mass we will begin our Eucharistic Procession, walking with Our Lord to Kinsmen Park, the new church building, and back to SHA/HCC, stopping at three altars along the route to worship Jesus Christ in the Holy Eucharist.
Upon returning to the Church, we will be having our annual Parish BBQ to which everyone is invited. After the feast, all are welcome to join in the various games and activities that are planned, especially a family softball game in the HCC field; a great way to celebrate together as a parish, and to help Dad have a great Father's Day!
Schedule: 10:00 AM – Sunday Mass
11:00 AM – Eucharistic Procession
12:00 PM – Parish BBQ and Potluck (Hosted by the CWL and KofC)
1:00 PM – Children's Games and Softball

Help Needed: Volunteers & Supplies
To make things run smoothly during this year's Corpus Christi we need a little bit of help with a few small tasks. If you're able to help with them please click here or contact Tomas Rochford at [email protected] or 403-324-3795. Thank you.
* Two Traffic Controllers/Ushers to assist the procession/parishioners in crossing streets in downtown Strathmore along the procession route.
* People to stay at the three altars after setup, during Sunday Mass (10-11am), to ensure wind/weather/vandalism do not destroy the altars.
* One person to transport the prie-dieu (kneeler) to each of the altars during the procession. Father Tomy will kneel on this as he pauses at each of the three altars.
* Four men to carry the canopy (four posts) over Father and the Blessed Sacrament.
* One "sound engineer" to take care of maintaining the portable speaker as we make our way along the procession route.
We are also looking for the following items:
* Three canopy tents to cover the three altars.
* One four-wheeled garden cart (pneumatic tires) to carry the portable speaker system.
A huge thank you to the three teams designing and decorating the three altars for this year's procession.
