As some of you may be aware, Father Wojciech will be leaving us, effective August 1
st, 2020. After over 10 years in Strathmore, he has been transferred to St. Michael’s Parish in Bow Island, AB.

Under Father Wojciech’s leadership, we have achieved much. The property downtown has been purchase and both it and our rectory have been paid off. We have added many annual celebrations to our calendar, like Stations of the Cross and Corpus Christi Possession and BBQ. Our church is being left more beautiful with the new Chalice, Ciborium and Monstrance. And, most uniquely, it was Father Wojciech who travelled to Poland and brought back to our parish the Holy Relic of St. John Paul II.
We will remember Father, faithfully offering the Mass. We will cherish our memories of Baptisms, First Communions and Confirmations. And we will remember sadly more difficult times, like funerals. But through it all, Father has lead our parish and we will miss him. All the best, Father Wojciech. We pray that God will bless you in your new parish and for years to come!
Please feel free to drop off any cards or well-wishes off at the Parish Office during regular office hours.
On Sunday, June 28
th at 11:00 am, Sacred Heart Parish Council, in conjunction with the Knights of Columbus and the Catholic Woman’s League will be hosting a farewell Picnic for Father Wojciech.
All parishioners are welcome to bring picnic supplies, food and drink and join us in the school-yard after Holy Mass.
